About us

Drew's Art Box is a box of art lessons mailed directly to your door.

Our art curriculum is ideal for ages 9+, and is comprised of 3–7 video lessons per box. Each unit is educational and explores the different elements of art and principles of design, art vocabulary, and art history. All supplies are included so that no additional purchases are necessary. When group art classes can run around $25 per week, and private lessons are $50 per session, Drew’s Art Box serves to bring a more affordable art curriculum to homeschool families and others, without leaving the comfort of your home! Each art box is hand-crafted and curated by Liza, a licensed art teacher and artist. We’re always open to exploring new mediums and ideas, so check out our Facebook group to share your great idea for our next art box!

Frequently asked questions

Is it a subscription service?

Drew’s Art Box is not a subscription, so you only pay for each individual box you purchase.

Our art box can be enjoyed by children under the age of 9, but they may need some adult support to, for instance, squeeze out glue in a clean line.

How is content structured?

How do I access the video lessons?

How long does it take to complete a full box of lessons?

Each box is intended to be completed in the same way as weekly art classes. There are 3–4 lessons per box that can be spread out over the course of a month. The first few study lessons should take about an hour to complete, and the final project should take 2 to 4 hours, depending on a student’s craftsmanship and creativity.

Is this an open-and-go type of box?

No, Drew’s Art Box is intended to be viewed in the same way as in-person art classes. The student needs to understand the methods and techniques provided in the video tutorials in order to complete any and all of the lessons. There’s also art historical references and vocabulary to support the lessons.

Is there a sibling option or can children share supplies?

Many boxes offer an “extra supplies” option for an additional fee. There’s also a supply list included with each box in case you’d like to order supplies on your own.
